COC #75 - It's a Thing of Beauty!
Friday, October 6, 2006 at 08:22PM Cowboy Blobs Photo Shoppin Saloon is a great place to visit too it seems... Some how last week, Cowboy's submissions were eaten by the hotmail monster, so this week we give the man his due! He had three great submissions, first is "This Month's 3 gun Practice Match", where you are glad you are not the target! And Now, a video of Real Men, and Real Shootin".
Plus, Malfunction Junction 2005 !
The Ten Ring says to his, and I am sure all of our amazement he has found "Valid Violence Research" (for a change).
Random Nuclear Strikes shows off his "Smith & Wesson, Beast", an excerpt:
The 9mm chambering kicks, but with the Pachys it only really starts to sting after about 50 rounds rapid-fire. But it’s quite controllable, which is why I don’t mind the weight. By comparison, even shooting .38 target loads out of one of the ultra-lightweight J-frame .357s would hurt a lot more than the 940 in an extended range session, and be less controllable in recoil. Speedloads are a snap with the moon clips.
Posse Incitatus (when in doubt, reload) has a great submission here, and says this:
Our entry this week deals with school shootings. If we have learned nothing else since Sept. 11, 2001, it should be that objects are not dangerous, people are dangerous. Not that this will stop the anti-gun crowd. They long ago demonstrated that they are either impervious to logic or simply opposed to the truth.
Well, I only became involved in shooting/collecting firearms in the last three years. I’ve never been hunting, but I have read our Declaration of Independence, Constitution, and Bill of Rights, plus many of the papers written by those who composed and ratified it. I certainly find no confusion or ambiguity anywhere within the simple, simple statement that makes up our Second Amendment.
In keeping with their brave tradition of being little more than mindless suck-ups to the gun control lobby, and in furtherance of their long-term goal of disarming all Americans of the non-politically-connected, common class, Mayors Menino and Bloomberg have decided that it's time for New Hampshire to get with the program and make their state more hospitable to armed criminals seeking out weak, defenseless victims.
Guns !!!

That more targets for our blog-ire, and maybe even a victory or two over GFWs in a local mayoral election.
Sometimes, you have to give the targets a chance to expose themselves before you can appreciate what a target-rich environment you are in as a hunter.
