Allen Campaign in Trouble - They better get Help.. Fast
Thursday, August 31, 2006 at 12:05PM Due to the latest speculations and/or discussions of Senator Allen's alleged racist past by such respected VA Bloggers such as Waldo Jaquith & Vivian Paige, concerning the photo George Allen posed for in 1996 at a CPAC convention in Washington DC.
It seems two years later this organization , The Council of Conservative Citizens was deemed to be racists. This weekend is of course is Labor Day Weekend and the Traditional VA Campaign Kick off at Buena Vista, Virginia which will present a real challenge to the Allen Campaign. How can we try and prevent this from happening again?
Subsequently, the Allen campaign has come to the conclusion that they will be forced to hire a Soothsayer to pre screen any and everyone who may request to have their photograph taken with the Senator. Leonard Nemoy, who played "Spock" in Star Trek is unfortunately unavailable, but could have been very useful in applying the "Vulcan Mind Probe", to anyone who might actually want to speak to the Senator, but later be found to be a racist.
(click for the answer before it is asked)
Also considered early, until reminded that he was also dead was Johnny Carson, who's Carnac The Magnificent abilities would have also been a great benefit to the Allen Campaign. As you know Carnac was able to determine the answers before reading the question in the envelope. Lately, the only question from Left of Center bloggers has not been about immigration, Taxes, Gun Control, Abortion etc.. it is:
"Senator Allen, are you a racist, and what did you
know and when did you know it"?
(Give the Soothsayer a click)
the Democrats, or should I say Democratics (lest I offend anyone), have been eagerly rereading their Nostradamus books, to see if in fact the great "soothsayer" had predicted a "Racist Senator" would arise out of Virginia. Early speculation though, is that any determination of this may be confused with Senator Robert "Sheets" Byrd of West Virginia, which could blunt their argument, and further disagreement over the issue.
(I'm Sorry, I just couldn't resist this one) Of course it is photo shopped.
Oh, and I just can not end this post without highlighting VA Progressive, who just loves "throwing around the "N" word & STD's opinion of that. But then again, are there any other opinions? Maybe at VA Virtucon, ShaunKenney, and to my friends Waldo & Vivian, sure hope you can take a joke; but if James Webb had a similar photo with such any such group and two years elapsed before this information came out, I wonder, if you would be "challenging" James Webb in the same manner?

The CCC were racists all along. Their public mission and views did not change during those 2 years. It's not as if the Southern Poverty Law Center's list was the only metric by which to estabilsh whether a group is racist. George Allen was not a political neophyte who would not have known who the CCC was. He was at that point an experienced Virginia politician who knew the various conservative constituencies in and out and certainly knew who those people and groups were that latched (and continue to latch) on to the GOP as a desperate attempt to stay relevant and powerful.
George Allen isn't completely stupid. He knew who those guys were. That doesn't mean that Allen is racist. It means that he's comfortable around racists and that he lacked the moral courage to refuse their support. These are two totally seperate things. The difference between which I expect that the GOP will be desperately trying to explain by November.
You guys are also convinced that Allen's mother used (not just knew of) Macaca being a racial slur!
Have you ever been to CPAC? I have twice, there are at least 100 exhibitors, and there is no way even an "experienced" politician would know each and every organization.
and for that matter Al Sharpton could show up, (and really everyone would really get a lot of amusement out of that really, in my opinion), and get his picture taken with Michelle Malkin, Rudy Guiliani, Allen or anyone else... Are they all now racists?
My point is really, no politician at CPAC runs away from anyone CPAC lets in. Dear Lord, Republicans to end the war, was there, if George Allen had his photo taken there, what can be derived from that? He had his photo taken with Pubs who oppose the war, period.
I could get my photo taken with you, and no one would surely accuse me of being a Democrat :-)
and of course this kind of speculation is quite OK, and perfectly acceptable.
I wonder when Allen will put out an ad about his position on spousal abuse?
Why don't you ask Senator Allen about his position on domestic violence? I think his answer may surprise you.
