Paul Harris & Scott Sayre Hold AFP Event in Waynesboro
Helping to support Bruce Allen in his bid for City Council in Waynesboro, both Paul Harris and Scott Sayre will be talking to the voters tomorrow night. This should be a great event to meet all three gentleman and hear them speak on responsible government in regards to taxation and spending.
Great buzz is going around now about former Delegate Paul Harris running for Attorney General in Virginia. He would be an awesome addition to the already locked up Bob McDonnell, Bill Bolling ticket!
See graphic for details of the event and hope to see you there.

CORRECTION:
This event is not an offiical AFP event, although Scott Sayre and Paul Harris are AFP members. Sorry for any confusion in the matter.
Daily Press Shills For Governor Mark Warner?
(Click 4 Message) The MSM types criticize bloggers for just being a bunch of rumor mongers, or shills for one politician or another, but Bob Lewis doesn't have a leg to stand on to level that charge. When we bloggers post on a subject and use a budget figure or some other fact, we are obliged to provide a link to verify them.
Furthermore, the MSM says that bloggers can not be journalists because our work is not critiqued by editors before it is published.
Lewis throws out this $6 Billion dollar budget deficit supposedly caused by Governor Jim Gilmore like it is the gospel. The first time I saw it was in his hit piece on the Governor here, (note the page has disappeared, along with what little credibility they have as an unbiased news outlet) His source? Governor Warner? Take a Look:
"He similarly blasted Warner for promising not to increase taxes if elected, a pledge Warner had to abandon in 2004 when the state faced a $6 billion revenue shortfall that got its start under Gilmore's watch. "
Now either Bob Lewis is a lazy reporter, or a shill for Governor Mark Warner, or Both? What about his editors? Maybe they are too lazy to ask Bob for a more non-partisan source for such a figure, or maybe they are just shills for Governor Warner too? Me thinks they are just propagating an urban legend that sending $950 million dollars annually back to the us Virginians in the form of the car tax cut equates to a $6 billion dollar state revenue short fall?
Only in these peoples minds did Governor Gilmore simultaneously pop the Tech Bubble on Wall Street, and cause the attacks on 9-11 that brought about a recession near the end of Gilmore's term in office.
Either way you look at it, that newspaper and it's reporter are becoming strangers to the truth.
Heck my editorial board does a better job than theirs.
BTW, have you heard that in only six years, Governor's Warner and Tim Kaine have in some cases doubled tuition, or nearly doubled tuition at our State's Colleges? Spin that Bob!
Barking Up The Wrong Tree
The smear that AP Reporter Bob Lewis spewed all over Virginia is getting a second look by other MSM professionals. Seems "that dog don't hunt" Bob.
Next Gov. Jim Gilmore will be accused of buying the plane tickets for Osama & Co. on 9-11? I mean 9-11 occurred when Gov. Gilmore was in office, there must be a connection right?
Oh wait a minute, that's right, Gov. Jim Gilmore already had a plan in case terrorists did attack Virginia, and it was in place long before 9-11. So maybe that is the circumstantial evidence for him VP Cheney and President GWB planning 9-11?
Meanwhile, the Democrats and MSM 'Golden Boy' Gov. Mark Warner was majoring in Washington DC, & selling government assets for profit? Now that sounds like a story an honest news hound should be sniffing out! Here's another good look at it.
One thing for sure we need to be sending multi-millionaire Gov. Warner to DC so he can work on his Masters degree, and launch himself into billionaire status? It seems only Democrats can get away with these kind of schemes, while Republicans are held to a much higher standard. I get this mental image of Gov. Warner rubbing the belly of twitching little news hound rolling around on its back, wagging its tail in glee. Gov 'I majored in DC' is saying, "good boy, good boy"!
Qui Qui: French Amnesty International Shocked by Taser!
A lazy cut and paste of news, but this is very indicative of how Liberal Organizations deal with their own misinformation campaigns:
French Taser Stun-Gun Seller Sues Rights Group Amnesty -AFPLast update: 3/4/2008 1:59:12 PMPARIS (AFP)--The French reseller of Taser stun guns, dogged by scandals over Taser-linked deaths in Canada and the U.S., took Amnesty International to court on Tuesday for harming its reputation. In May last year, the French branch of Amnesty issued a statement claiming that a Taser gun, made by Taser International (TASR), had been put up for auction on eBay Inc.'s (EBAY) auction Web site and that 220 U.S. deaths had been linked to the Taser gun.Following a complaint from SMP Technologies, which has imported and supplied Taser guns to the French army, police and gendarmerie since 2004, Amnesty later said it had sent out the statement by mistake.Upon investigation, the rights group said the object for sale on eBay had turned out to be a publicity gadget, not a Taser gun.According to SMP's lawyer, Catherine Hennequin, Amnesty agreed to publish a clarification but has yet to do so eight months later, and has continued to claim that deaths were linked to the weapon's use.Amnesty's lawyer Simon Foreman says his client was mistaken about the eBay sale, but not about the "dangerous nature" of the Taser itself, accusing SMP of taking legal action "with the sole aim of intimidation."Amnesty International says around 300 people have died around the world after being zapped with a Taser and has called for the weapon's use to be suspended while a full investigation is conducted. The Taser packs a 50,000-volt punch that can paralyze targets from up to 10 meters away. The U.N. Committee against Torture ruled in November that its use constitutes "a form of torture" which can result in death. The U.N. criticism followed a string of deaths in the U.S. and Canada that occurred after police used Tasers to subdue people, including a Polish man who was filmed dying after being stunned at Vancouver airport.A verdict in the French trial is due on March 11.(END) Dow Jones NewswiresMarch 04, 2008 13:59 ET (18:59 GMT)
William F. Buckley Jr. vs. Gore Vidal
Please excuse the language...
Buckley appeared in a series of televised debates with Gore Vidal during the 1968 Democratic Party convention. In their penultimate debate on August 22 of that year, the two disagreed over the actions of the Chicago police and the protesters at the ongoing Democratic Convention in Chicago. At one point Vidal called Buckley a “proto- or crypto-Nazi”, to which Buckley replied, “Now listen, you queer, stop calling me a crypto-Nazi or I will sock you in your goddamn face, and you will stay plastered.”[11]
This feud continued the following year in the pages of Esquire Magazine, which commissioned an essay from both Buckley and Vidal on the television incident. Buckley's essay "On Experiencing Gore Vidal," was published in the August 1969 issue, and led Vidal to sue for libel. Vidal's September essay in reply, "A Distasteful Encounter with William F. Buckley," was similarly litigated by Buckley. The presiding judge in Buckley's subsequent libel suit against Vidal initially concluded that "[t]he court must conclude that Vidal's comments in these paragraphs meet the minimal standard of fair comment. The inferences made by Vidal from Buckley's [earlier editorial] statements cannot be said to be completely unreasonable." However, Vidal also strongly implied that, in 1944, Buckley and unnamed siblings had vandalized a Protestant church in their Sharon, Connecticut, hometown after the pastor's wife had sold a house to a Jewish family. Buckley sued Vidal and Esquire for libel; Vidal counter-claimed for libel against Buckley, citing Buckley's characterization of Vidal's novel Myra Breckenridge as pornography. Both cases were dropped, but Buckley's legal expenses were reimbursed by Vidal, and Vidal's were not. Buckley also received an editorial apology in the pages of Esquire.[12]
