 What is a Dhimmi?  I will use the Wikipedia version just so my Liberal friends will take comfort:

"A dhimmi (Ottoman Turkish zimmi, Arabic: ذمي‎, collectively: أهل الذمة, ahl al-dhimma, the people of the dhimma or pact of protection) was a "free" (i.e. non-slave), non-Muslim subject of a state governed in accordance with sharia — Islamic law. A dhimmi is a person of the dhimma, a term which refers in Islamic law to a pact contracted between non-Muslims and authorities from their Muslim government."

More on Dhimmi Rights:

"Dhimmis were allowed to "practice their religion, subject to certain conditions, and to enjoy a measure of communal autonomy" and guaranteed their personal safety and security of property, in return for paying tribute and acknowledging Muslim supremacy.^"

 Yesterday saw an Anti 'Win The War' on Terror march in DC.  These people are your same old hippies of the 60's & 70's, and should their be any doubts, even Hanoi Jane Fonda was in attendance.  The must have tied Senator Kerry up in his office so he couldn't join in with his usual "I support the troops, by condemnation of their actions' speeches.

I would really appreciate it if the nation were given advance notice so someone like me could join in on the counter protest.

We are engaged in a war with widely dispersed Islamic Radicals & how do you get them to attack you in one place?  You attack their safe havens.  Today we are in control of Afghanistan and Iraq.  Both countries so strategic they have been fought over since the beginning of time.

The war in Iraq is not the Vietnam War (Senator Warner) for the simple fact that we were fighting organized North Vietnamese and Viet Cong forces in pitched and all out battles.  The warfare in Iraq is nothing more than a support effort of the Iraqi Govt until they can establish a viable military and police force to run their own country.  In the mean time we are not fighting units in the field, but daily subjected to a cowardly terrorist bombing campaign. That is the difference.

Europe has seen more than it's share of terrorist activity, and due to the unfettered influx of Muslims into that continent they are in imminent peril of demographically being over run in forty more years!  They are truly the current Dhimmi's and our Democrat Party is fighting 'tooth and nail' to get us in the same predicaments.  My evidence is the 'outrage' by the Liberals in that party to demonize Rep. Virgil Goode for opposing Muslim immigration into the United States.  See this Captains Quarters post for great insights into this.

Now onto Senator John Warner selling out our War effort in Iraq.  SWAC GIRL has part one, and two of what Democrats said before about increasing troop strength in Iraq, and their current backpeddling.  Warner has now come down against 'The Troop Surge', and his comments via the WaPo:

"I regret that I was not more outspoken" during the Vietnam War, the former Navy secretary said in an interview in his Capitol Hill office. "The Army generals would come in, 'Just send in another five or ten thousand.' You know, month after month. Another ten or fifteen thousand. They thought they could win it. We kept surging in those years. It didn't work."

Thanks Senator, but as I pointed out before you're on the wrong war, and if you think playing to the Liberals and their opinion of this war is going to get you re-elected, you just may have another reality in store for you.  I like Flora's take here at UCV.  The Right Wing Liberal has a link to a petition that needs to be signed.  I am tired of being sold out by our own elected Republicans...

 My thoughts are Rep. Virgil Goode needs to be Senator Virgil Goode!  At least he understands the threat that Radical Islam will be brought to the US through increased Muslim Immigration...

 Got my VCDL update tonight, and Delegate Cline will have his bill HB 2458 considered Monday, here is the summary:

Self defense and defense of others.  Provides that any person who lawfully occupies a dwelling is justified in using any degree of physical force, including deadly physical force, against another person when the other person has unlawfully entered the dwelling, has committed an overt act toward the occupant or another person in the dwelling, and the occupant reasonably believes he or another person in the dwelling is in imminent danger of bodily harm. The bill also provides that a person who uses justifiable force against an intruder shall be immune from civil liability for injuries or death of the other person.

Who in the world wouldn't think they already have that right against someone breaking into their home in the middle of the night?

Delegate Bill Janis has HB 1626, and here is it's summary:

 Two Conservatives has a great post here on Webb's misleading statements involving the US Military attitude towards a "Troop Surge" in Iraq to fullfill our mission there, and WIN THE WAR!!  An excerpt:

 Lagniappe's Lair has got the scoop on, and I love the way this is phrased:

State Delegate John Doyle (a Democrat, naturally) has just introduced legislation intended to bar any West Virginia resident from buying more than one gun per day.

One handgun per month is the law in Virginia, and is only circumvented by having a concealed carry permit.  The effect of the law has been more than controversial.  It was originally enacted because 'bad guys' (read here lawbreakers) were coming to Virginia and purchasing multiple firearms and reselling them in the Northeast USA.  These sales of course could be tracked by our Virginia State Police, as you have to fill out a background check form monitored by the State Police.

Call me an idiot, but I think it takes away a tool from the State Police to see who really is coming down here and creating a pattern of buying hand guns for resale to other 'bad guys'.  I bet more busts were made before the law than after it, because this forces those intent on making that kind of purchase to pursue other means, less traceable by our State Police!

It's like a sting for terrorist trying to buy components for and/or WMD.  Let them buy them, and then track them to their source, and/or intended parties.  One Handgun per month is nothing but 'Feel Good' legislation...
